Shenzhen Mingqi believes that among the 13 new standards to be implemented in the first half of 2026, GB/T 2943-2025 "Adhesive Terminology" deserves particular attention from the industry. This standard has undergone systematic structural optimization and significant content updates. It adds 237 new terms, such as "pressure-sensitive adhesive products," covering emerging materials and technologies; revises 67 existing terms, such as "sealant," to ensure definitions are in line with current technological developments; and deletes 14 outdated or redundant terms, improving the standard's simplicity. These adjustments not only reflect technological advancements in the adhesives industry but also enhance the applicability and international compatibility of terminology. The implementation of this standard will have a profound impact on the industry's development.
